I need to move/remove the oil tank to get a part replaced. The part is the support for the clutch side driven shaft bearing. That bearing siezed up last ride over last winter, just now replacing. Only way I see to get the part out is to move the oil tank, unless someone has a better idea. The pic shows the problem spot.

Thanks for any help

If you need to remove the oil tank, you have to remove the gas tank, pull the seat, drill the side belly pan rivets, and undo all the nuts that hold it in, you will have to wrestle and pry to get it out. then the oil tank will slide right out of the way.

Had the same problem last winter in Timmins Ont. -30 on a 4 day trip. Dealer was new with no parts, so had the parts shipped in from Sudbury. Was not the best job to do outside no heat and no feeling in my fingers. To make a long story short l was able to do the job without removing the oil injection completely its one job l hope l'll never have to do again outside in the cold.
