First wash it in good hot soap water and than use a brillo pad to scrub it than dry it completely, put on sled and drive it 20 mph for 8 to 10 miles.

Also, make sure that the alignment and deflection is correct. If they are out of wack, this can cause you to be blowing up your belts. Check your motor mounts to make sure that one of them didn't break. If you are burning the belts, your secondary clutch is most likely too loose.

I've got almost 900 miles on the original belt. I let machine warm up for about 10 minutes then lift rear end and spin track for 15-20 seconds at 1/4 throttle.

If you keep blowing belts something must be out of allignment unless your running in high altitude without mountain kit.
