Great snowmobiles. :div20: Had friend's with a 500 and 600 and they both still ride them and love them. Thats over 6000 miles of hard riding on each of them. I highly recommend them. Call your local Cat dealer and ask if they had any updates too.

I have one with 12000 miles on it. Other than motor being a pos, the sled is pretty much bullet proof. You need to put pistons and rings in that sled every 3000-3500 miles or else it will have a piston problem. As far as performace it will wax an xlt. It rides better, handles better, its lighter. Feel free to ask me any more questons if you have any on that sled. Greg

I owned a '00 ZR600 LE and it was a good all around sled if you could keep fuel in the tank. It was a pig with fuel. With todays gas prices I suggest that you wait and look for an '01. The '01 will have APV which would make it better on fuel and I bet even a little quicker.

I had a '00 Zr600efi ltd. I loved it, it was probably my favorite sled overall. Sure my '02 Zr800efi cce and F7's are power houses. But for all around sled I would be hard pressed to pick one between my '00 ZR600efi ltd and my '04 Sabercat 600efi LX. Just awesome all around sleds!!!!

Loved mine. Piston broke at 850 miles, other than that, no mechanical problems in 4000 miles, that weren't my fault, knew I shoulda put drive bearings in it, but didn't
until it was too late.
My biggest dislikes are the tank contour, uncomfortable if you ride real agressive,
and the seat foam feels real hard. You may be able to get an upholstering shop to bore some holes in the foam to soften it up a bit. I don't know if they changed it for
the 01's or not, but I believe they did reshape the gas tank a little.
