There are two plugs. One is behind the servo motor. You may have to remove the servo motor to find it. The other is right behind the speedo/tach.
Hooking up Electric Visor to F7
Is there already an accessory outlet somewhere on the sled? Where is it? If not, what is the best location?

I ran mine from the acc. plug up behind the speedo, didn't want to deal with removing the servo. We rode in snow all day Yesterday works like a charm.

The one behind the servo motor can be reached if you move the wires for the servo motor towards the secondary clutch. I had mine wired up in about 15 minutes total.
I moved the fuel switch to the oppisite side of the steering colum where the choke would be. placed the decal on the inside of the dash. Then placed the shield plug where the fuel switch was.
I don't lift the hood, just ran a jumper wire down along with all the other wiring and spliced my shield plug on. It come out from under my handlebar pad. Very quick and easy.

i've hooked up about of these heated shields for my friends and my own two sleds, all ya need to do is go to radio shack and by a surface mounted rca plug, just drill a quarer inch hole or so, and there is a nut that holds it from the back, all ya see is the little plug, just like what come out the back of a tv or vcr, use the center for power, and outside or the shielding for the ground, looks and works great........later

I have an older style helmet. I think I bought it in '97 or '98, although you can't tell. This style helmet and shield come with this boot. I heard that the new ones are just the connector but still mount well like Firecat_Freak describes.
There is a spare plug behind the servo motor. (You don't have to splice into any cable to hook up the helmet shield plug. It takes two screws and bolts on the servo motor to disconnect it and locate the connection.
Take the shield attachment plug that you get with a helmet shield (you should have one in your kit) and you can run the wires up with the other wires by the stearing column. There are two small holes in the stearing column post on each side one has a zip tie in it to hold down some of the wires.
You can easily zip tie your connector to that hole on the stearing column and you'll have the connector just above the gas tank on the left side (for the TX helmet with RCA plug). It's a perfect position and a couple of zip ties can be used to tie the cable to the other cables running out through the stearing column area. (Leave some slack when adjusting it for rotation of the stearing, not much slack is required.)
What I did was actually buy a single to double connector ($5.00) that gives me two outlets from the power source and connect an "square connector" wire to that side (for the old helmet) and zip tied that to the right side of the stearing column using the other hole in the stearing column. Then I zip tied the newer (TX/RCA) connector to the left side. This allows me to use either style shield warmer. I have an older (should be the latest, but the TX went back to RCA?) square and turn connector on my 1999 helmet and the newer RCA on my Patriot theme TXI helmet. The reason I use two helmets is I have SUPER VELCRO on my old one for the "helmet cam" I use. I don't want to put a piece of velcro over my patriot graphics, so I'll still be using two helmets now an then.

Does anyone have the Radio Shack part number? I've looked at my local one and they only have one panel mount style but it's very cheesy, won't hold up.
Just bought a new heated visor/helmet. Have a 2003 F7 Firecat EFI. Took bolts off servo motor and found empty connector. it has 2 brown wires run into it and 2 yellow wires. Should I connect/plug my visor into this empty connector??????
I ran mine behind the servo and also i put a 3 prong adapter on it so i still have accessory plugs to use incase i ever need other ones..
