I would like to see 170ish hp wiht the lighter Catalyst. The 155hp ProCross runs with the Doo 850's.11 percent more then there 800 , last 800 to dyno at dyno tech stock was 155 so 170 ish , its there with the 9R ........
Hope the mountain boys get their hands on some and put it through the paces. Love that Cat came to the party, but not gambling on first yr motor (from any manu). [emoji2937][emoji1696]Be nice if they sold a few sleds in 2024 to be test ridden by the public.
peak HP doesn’t win races. Show me the TQ curve. It'll be right there with the 850's. 800cc doesn't make 850cc HP, 850cc doesn't make 900cc HP.
They've talked about be 600 and old 800 cranks being the same. Do the 600 and 858 share the same crank? Do we know bore and stroke? These are two questions that will tell us a lot about the HP and torque numbers.peak HP doesn’t win races. Show me the TQ curve.
They kept the bore the same at 85mm and the stroke is now at 75,6mm.They've talked about be 600 and old 800 cranks being the same. Do the 600 and 858 share the same crank? Do we know bore and stroke? These are two questions that will tell us a lot about the HP and torque numbers.
No they do not share the same crank. The 858 they stroked the crank to get extra cc. Same piston as the current 800. Makes me wonder if the 600 catalyst is a one hit wonder and they will bring out a 650 class sled soon. Exciting times for cat. I wish they would have had some closer to production models there. All they had were used and abused demo sleds. The ride position is similar to a Sno pro 500 and a Polaris. Sitting on a procross is like feels like sitting on an old ass dragger compared to the new stuff. They've talked about be 600 and old 800 cranks being the same. My math shows the current 600 bore and the new 858 stroke make a 650.No they do not share the same crank. The 858 they stroked the crank to get extra cc. Same piston as the current 800. Hey now! I have to run my ass dragger one more year yet lol.No they do not share the same crank. The 858 they stroked the crank to get extra cc. Same piston as the current 800. Put the engine in a sp500 and you will have catalyst like sled that isn’t $29,999Hey now! I have to run my ass dragger one more year yet lol.
everyone that has that 650 seems to really like it. On paper it makes the same power as an out of the box F7 did.My math shows the current 600 bore and the new 858 stroke make a 650.
Let's hope that's the case for Cat riders. I've said it many, many times. The long stroke Pol 650 is a rocket ship on the trails up to 70ish. Absolute rocket ship.
