Been to the UP with my wife for last 7 days & got n some good riding . Monday we got 15 " of fresh snow Had a ball.. Did a lot of running on Lake Gogebic .Some fast sleds there Ran against a lot of different sleds .F7 doesnt have to take a back seat to nobody I know that any sled can be beat on any given day but not yet Switched tracks for on the lake .Ran 1/2 lug with 102 1-1/4 ice picks With my normal set up123 mph top end with 23/40 gears this sled is with the changes I talk about. With 22/40 gears 119 mph rolled up to 8050 rpm Switched back to 1" track for trail rideing & 22/40 gears Works great I weight 205-210 Temps were as low as - 14 below No problem with Speed Werx air box tube .At 0 I closed the 2 Thunder Box vents Ran 92 oct in the Reg mode On trail got 14 mpg- racing on lake went down to11 mpg Put on 700miles Many miles WOT on lake Both sleds are set up close to same Wife is lighter by 75lbs so she has a 2 degree steeper helux * lighter weights & runs 23/40 gears on trails.& 24/39 gears on lake These are tall gears 131.13 mph at 7900 rpm if shifted out The 23/40 gears at same RPM would be 117.20

Does 23/41 work in this combo instead of 22/40, or is the chain to short?

I tried the 23/41 but the chain was too short. I'm happy with the 22/40.
