My buddy gets cold hands b4 he starts riding and the hand warmers won't warm them up. The Polaris hand guards hit the windshield. Any after markets fit without hitting? Matryx VR1 with mid height. I'd like to get them because they look good but don't need them. He needs something. Suggestions?

get a set of gauntlets! What I did was gauntlets and a pair of thin mechanics gloves you buy at auto zone. With thin gloves you get more heat transfer to your skin. Thick gloves can also insulate against heat remember that

The only down side is you can burn your hands with thin gloves. I have 2 2022 XCR’s on order and am hoping with smart warmers I can dial it in to get the perfect temp

I have a 2021 Matryx XC 129. Ordered with high windshield (which looks no where near as gaudy as I thought), and NO handguards. It is the warmest handgrip sled i've owned, coming off 2016 AXYS Switchback Mid-windshield w/ handguards, and 2012 Pro-R Switchback w/ handguards.

The bars warm up so fast compared to previous sleds above, that I can get on it for a long lake ride at -10 below, after it has sat for awhile, and they are warm pretty fast. This was a recipe for frostbite on previous models. I was a candidate for heated gloves, as I have frostbitten 1/2 of my fingers in past, and my tolerance is low for cold bars.

The adjustable temps at ALL 3 levels give you a wide range of temps to choose from. Your friend has to adjust his settings.

I hope this helps.......

[emoji115][emoji115][emoji115] Correct. Handguards clear the mountain windshield by inches with the assault hand riser

Part # 2889405
MSRP $119.00

Hard to believe the matryx handwarmers don't do the trick. If indeed they're working properly, try some gauntlets. My warmers turned all the way up burn my hands through my gloves.

Thanks everyone, I didn't see a response right away and by the time I got back to it, this thread was buried. I think the thinner gloves and high heat setting makes sense. He said his expensive gloves were worse than the cheap ones. Probably didn't let the heat through. He's getting the guards. I think they will only hit at full lock, parking lot stuff, so it shouldn't do any damage. I'll tell him to turn up the high settings too. I never would have gone that high but worth a shot. BTW, he want want a taller riser.

For what it's worth, handguards clear the mid windshield at full turn with a 4" riser. And this is with a slight tilt forward on the riser. If the riser was lined up with the steering post it would clear even more.
