i am going to install a tempaflow in my 03 pro x 700 this week. i was thinking of gutting the box while it was apart. has anyone noticed a gas mileage difference with or without the shelf? carbs will be tuned properly either way, so eliminate that from the equation. i really dont care about the noise, mileage is most important. thanks.

my 2003 prox 700 with a gutted slp box still get 13 mph on hard pack .... I have a 136 x 1.25" studded track , slp single with can, tempaflow , 24/41 gearing , RTK head and custom clutching. you should have no problem witch ever way you go geting at least 13 mpg! to get 13 mpg I need to run around 40~50 mph ( NH speed limit is 45).

leave the needles stock, 440 mains max on my sled. this year it will have 430 mains in it, EGT hotest never went over 1125 at WOT , midrange would run just about 1200 .
