well....

it is done,

got ALL the shocks in, had to move some solid axle wheels around, used the independent Fire cat style Idlers under rear skid shock... and space out the tourque arm on the rear skid clicker shock,(too fat)

also added the knee pads, the cat hitch, fishbones, (pics soon)

l put in and modified a set of little no spear wheels, gooped up my throttle flipper to keep the warmer in place, extra hood tie downs,

black access pannels & stickys, pow pros, sno cross 5/8" shocks w/res and Ti on front,

Grip N rip spring adjusters, whew....

I think I'm done

will put on my Tripple crown BERGSTROM carbides when the SLP set dulls out,

also thinking about adding the D&D Y Pipe BUT...
(they won't ship to me in ALASKA... need a middle man there to USPS me the goods)

and lastly a light weight can... Not sure which one to go for....

I've had a Black Magic can and liked it alot,

also had a PPP (sounded like a rattling tin can, got ride of it)

and an MRB, (too loud)

Was thinking of the Black Magic (if they make one)... speed werx can... Or the SLP

we shall see...

My wad is blown... and then some... but it has been soo much fun, and very zen like for me
wish I could set these up for a living... :celebrating:

hope it snows soon, still have yet ro run it!

If you are near D&D, (Y pipe for Me) or can get UPS and would help a fellow HCSer out, drop me a PM, I can pay pal, an offer a few extra bones for the trouble...would really like to get a hold of the Y pipe!

Those Braces are part of the "hitch" system.... added about 6lbs to the rear, but I took off a bit of weight too, so it all works out...

Got to have the hiitch to pull my basket sled... and haul my daughters 120... not to mention caribou meat and anything else I catch!

ANimals are yummy :div20:

I was thinking that I should have painted them Black, or Orange, but it was a nice day... and I just wanted to get it all done...

Yeah That trailer cost me 100.00, you get what you pay for

Thanks for the support.. and it has been a labour of love... good times.

The windsheild does seem useless, Whish it was that gradient chrome type... we shall see how it performs at speeds...

Thanks Again,

Hi Jason,
Nice job on the sled, Looks good! :div20: As I was looking thru your pictures I noticed that it appears you might be missing the lower mounting bolts on the idler wheel holder(s)/bracket(s) just in front of your rear shock. See pic I attached below.

Good eye, and as it turns out... I moved those wheels to the rear... so that the clicker res. will have enough room to travel, and took that solid axle wheel set and put it where the the 2 bolt set went... if THAT makes sense?

Oh, I see. You didn't use the F-Cat wheels set-up(individual holders) in all locations and used a solid axle in front of the rear shock....... correct?

Yep,

solid axel for rigidity behind the front skid shock, and open in the back...

was told to keep some solid parts in there to help keep things from twisting...

They are a CAT thing, easy to install and feel great, I used to hit my knees on my EXT often, and can't wait to try this thing out...

this cross fire just "feels" so much more "right", is easy to move, and seems much lighter than my F7 EXT...

maybe I'm just nuts?

Its supposed to be heavier!!!

Nice job Jason. Im gonna either get some Pow Pros or some aftermarket ski. Also gonna get a D&D Y pipe, Chrome winshield!

Now I have looked at the muffler setup on my Xfire when i went to dealership a week ago and it is attached to the frame with a cotter pin. But as for the location of the muffler, i think a rumble pack would work on it!

I can't wait either, hope to drive to Nome from Unalakleet this year at least once... we shall see how it goes... 6 hour trip vs the 1.5 hr... but I want to do that ride and I want to ride to Fairbanks from Unk too...

how many miles did you get on your F7?
