While purging an air bubble from the oil supply line on my F7 I disconnected the line from the oil tank and noticed the oil would barely drip out of the tank. The tank was full and the cap tight. After loosening the cap slightly the oil began to flow. Am I correct in assuming the cap is vented? Is this a potential issue or would the pump draw the oil from the reservoir and overcome the vacuum necessary to flow air through the vent?

Thanks! Jeff

It's nothing to worry about. Theres a ball that moves around inside the cap with any movement. This ball is constantly knocking a small spring loaded stemmed seal off it's seat to vent the tank. Hope I explained that correctly.
