I've seen post that say that some gears wont fit the bottom shaft on the F7. I have a 99 ZR with 20/39 I was going to try in my F7. I have the snopro and i'm running 107 to 109 in good cond with stock set. We have a up hill drag race coming next sat so no time to order. Will the 99 gears fit thank's for any info.

I regeared my buddies F7 for the Big Horns with some old gears I had lying around- I used 20/42 with the stock chain and it fit fine. 19/42 also fit, but the tension bolt was almost bottomed out. I think he said his top end was 85 or so with the 20/42. I don't know what the gears came out of, maybe even a Polaris, but they were the standard issue like that ZR should have.

keithf7,

Yes, they will work, but remember that you also either have to use the chain out of the 99 ZR also or go buy a new 70P chain because the stock 22/41 gearing on the F7 uses a 72P(longer) chain.
