Head cut, jetting, massaged carb boots. This is actually a trailable config I'm told...

A good set of twin pipes should really wake this sled up! Hopefully dynotech will get some good aftermarket pipes to test on the 600 H.O. as a 600.

2005 fusion 600:
8200 RPM, 123.5 HP, 79.1 torque, .624 BSFC. This is a safe BSFC for shorter runs only. Under 1000' for sure.

2004 F6 EFI:
7600 RPM, 120.1 HP, 83.1 torque, .72 BSFC. This is a safer BSFC for runs over 1000'.

As you can see these engines are very close and would be even closer with the same fuel consumption values. The fusion will not survive on the trail with a .624 BSFC. DTR questions how well the deto sensors will work on the fusion. This should be an interesting winter.

You could almost brush 150 w/ pipes, heads and still run 'er down the trail.

It's funny, this sled is rated 44 pounds lighter than a 900 in the same chassis. it's still 30 ponies shy of the 900, but is very easy to get the same power to weight ratio while staying 50 pounds lighter than the nine. I'd take the 6 any day of the week!

I'm a polaris fan as it is, but i honestly think that this is the sled to have this year in the same way as the f7 was last year, rev year before, etc.

I think polaris finally has a winning sled again!

The chassis is supposed to be pretty sweet in the ditches too, especially since it's 50 pounds lighter than last year.

I was talking to the polaris rep at Haydays about the HO. I told him I had 2 pig 700's the last 2 years, and was looking to get back on a competitive sled. He said this will be VERY competitive.

I reminded him of how great a 600 my 01'was, power wise. He said I'll be as happy or more with this one. We'll see I guess. Looks like it's off to a good start though!!

XtremeXC, I gotta ask why you say that? The fusion 900 did!
I sure hope you are right though for the Polaris faithfuls sake!

The DTR test results are very interesting. The comments about the front rad etc really makes you wonder which market segment Polaris is after, everyday riding or true all out performance.
The motor has the power, the chasis just needs a diet and it could be a class winner in performance!

1 more day till fall!! :div20:

Hey I'm just razzin him back LOL

The 6'er is somewhat new of a motor but still similar to the old 6 and is the same bottom as the 440 that has been racing for a year. Plus the chassis is 2nd year. I just think this will be Poo's most solid sled.

The F7 had the reverse flow cooling system to run so hot. The Poo has the radiator and DET. Should be interesting to see how it works or if these motors go squeak...
