Having a no start issue on a 15 Rush 800. Will not start by pulling or electric start, but will fire up and run and continue to run fine if you put fuel into the cylinders. You can even ride jt for an hour if you do it that way. Took it to the dealer and they said it was a bad fuel pump (Fuel pressure tested 30psi, said it should be 60), but it seems to run great even on top end. Replaced the pump anyways and the same problem is happening. Will only start when fuel is added to the cylinder. What gives the fuel pump power/ what tells it to prime when you pull it. Would also like to add we tested the capacitors and they seemed to test good.

Was the fuel sock replaced together with the pump?

Did you test the RELAY for the capacitors.

Fuel pump pressure was low, have they tested the pressure with the new pump?

It was not. The whole pump assembly was back ordered through Polaris until late March, so we pulled the assembly and replaced just the pump motor with an OEM one. However the fuel sock looked perfectly clean. Sled only has ~800 miles on it.

We have not tested the Relay, not sure what the dealer went through to diagnose, but my guess is they saw low Fuel pressure and just assumed it was a pump issue. where is that relay located? Also we have not tested fuel pressure with the new pump, the dealer is 2:30hrs away so getting up there is a challenge on top of a week and a half lead time for them to look at it.
