I have an F7 std and they were mounted the same way as yours. I noticed the spring would contact the spindle in the full jounce position no matter which way I clocked it. My friends F7 standard team graphics where mount the other way, with the shock rod up so I switched mine around and I don't have a problem with the coil hitting anything and they work just the same. I read it is better to mount them with the shock rod down so there is less unsprung mass, but that doesn't really matter for trail riding.
