i put my 2001 tcat engine together a while back and i am going to fill up the cooling system any tips for filling it and how to get all the air out

Hi,
Lift sled up on right side front,fill coolant bottle and watch and add coolant as needed,
it does not take very long to get air out of system...
P.S. does your cowl have any spider cracking in it,my 01 t-cat is the first one i have had that has done
this,just a couple when parked,now a road map of spider cracks all over..not happy with cats jel coat,please pm me

I lift the whole front end a foot or two in the air [ashigh as I can get it] then throw some absorbent rags over stator cover and stator cdi connectors. Run it and add coolant as t goes down give it the odd small revs and make sure sled is good and warm when done and coolant level is no longer dropping then cap it before shutting it off. easiest with 2 people one working throttle other pouring using funnel also might be good idea to remove drive belt in case throttle guy goes nuts.

I have an 02, i just fill the bottle, start it up...let it idle and keep filling the bottle as needed while it runs. works fine everytime for me.

Dealerraised the front end and took my buddies thermostat cover off then filled from there. Said it was best way to get all the air out

Remove the thermostat housing and fill through themostat manifold, it's the best way to ensure the least amount of air pockets.
