It isn't built by a F1 company, nor was it designed by a F1 company, its a Rotax motor designed and built in house. They are just changing to a newer narrower design with the 900 Ace Turbo.

tomorrow we'll get a chance to demo the 900T , I have at least a couple buddies that most likely will order

Got to take the Renegade 900 Turbo for a ride yesterday. Spring conditions with some crust with some sugary snow underneath made it harder to judge ride and handling compared to, say a Gade 1200. So, a typical spring demo ride for us. (btw, we did not have a 1200 there to compare directly too)
Power wise, I felt the 1200 hits harder down low, but the 900T just keeps pulling where the 1200 flats out.
Handlebar setup felt nice, but I prefer the seat height/bar relationship on my axys.
Dunno what skis it had - looked like C&A's. Made for some interesting moments when they broke thru the crust :D

Afterwards I got to take a Lynx X-Trim 850 (BRP subsidiary in Finland) for a spin. Owned by the parts guy at the dealer it was dialed in much better in the suspension than the 900t Gade demo. Had Blade skis and IMO both rode and handled better than the gade. The BRP 850 mill had good power, some vibration in the running boards but not much in the bars. Good power and response, first etec I've ridden in several years , it sure doesn't remind me of a typical 2 stroke
