have a f8 with slp twins that have a inch cut out of the belly.want to spin it about 8600rpm.but on the dyno it hits a wall at 8300.is there a rev limiter on the ecu or some thing else?

yes but not there and 'WALL" like what ??????? power loss or ignition failure,,sputter???? pipes stacking up ?????? what kind of dyno ?? was it grounded properly...........

won't the inch cut out rev lower?? not a pipe expert.. but less volume..

anyway f8's with the slp's seem to like 8200.. unless your running a "race" setup?

carl gallways dyno.just wont rev any higher.8200 with stock slps and 8200 or cut slps.can hold it open for a lone time on the dyno and will never get it to spin over 8300.had dyno to stop at 8600 and would not do it.does the ecu have a rpm range that starts to retard timming and if so what is it?

I thought that I read on here once that the ECU's take away fuel above 8500.

Just a thought. Perhaps Dan or someone else can confirm
