1320'
1500'
2000'
Hey, let's see the ZR's and everyone elses too!
I was recently at some radar runs...but never got to see what the new Cats were running. My old ZRT600 went 95mph in a 1000 feet.
Thanks!

Hey, I was at the radar runs recently on Mascoma Lake. I didn't stay til the end but a highly modified zr 800 owned my Jarvis Speed & Sport ($15,000 under the hood) with studs in every spot you could put them in went 108 in I think 800 feet. Thing hardly spun off the line. Skis didn't even set down til bout 600 feet. The first rider they had chickened out on take off and slowed down til the skis set down then took off again!

I've participated in 4 radar runs this year. The best I have run is 107 mph in 1000'. Al Doberstein (professional speed runner) has gone 112.5 mph in 1000'. That is smokin fast for a stock 700.

Yes we went 114.1 at Rush Lake with a backup speed of 113.8 in1000'. I don't know about the "professional" thing. F5 went 102.4.

At our local radar runs this year (1082')(measured with my GPS)
RX-1's 96-98mph
F7's 97-103mph
One 99-00 XCR800 107mph
One F5 90mph
My Mach Z 105mph

This is all I can remember off hand.

I find it hard to believe that a an F5 ran 102mph in 1000' with 100hp. Considering they usually run about 90mph.

Hoopers 700cc 140hp big bore for the ZR/ZL 500/600's, make them do about 96-97mph in 1000'................

That was with a good 15mph tailwind also. A 15mph tailwind would add 7-8mph to anyones top speed.

No one is an area 30 miles from me has gotten an F7 over 116mph on radar.
Most are about 113-114 top end after 2500'. The ZR900's are faster on the top by a few mph.

Carlson's sled should have been in 700 IMP..I can't think of why just yet..I know there was some talk after the fact.
BTW, that day, Sunday had a huge headwind..so bad that they had to run the track the other way and NOW HAD A HUGE TAILWIND!!
See his speeds of 117 on Saturday...and a week or two before was 114mph.

Also forgot to say my sled goes 92-94 in 660ft and in 1000ft i go 101-103..this is on ice
Rev them up, this is EXACTLY what I was seeing on ice with radar at our local runs.

Isn't it peculiar that someone says they can do 115mph in 1000' with a stock F7? :dunno:
