Thump, would you mind elaborating on this a bit? I'm sure that many of us here do most of our informal (and formal!) drag racing at distances LESS than 1000'. There's been some talk of "almost no loss of ET in a 1000" with the 23/40 vs the stock 22/41, but it sounds like there IS INDEED a loss of ET from those who have done testing with these combos. You say you lose "substantial" ET in 660'? Just exactly how much time, or how many sled lengths would you estimate? Is this from your own testing, from someone else's? If it was "only" 2 or 3 tenths slower in 660'... well, that's 2 or 3 sled lengths -- more than enough distance to qualify as "gettin' smoked" in my neck of the woods! Any additional details/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -- RoyOriginally posted by Thumper@Dec 24 2002, 03:43 AM
You do lose quite substansial et in 660 ft but not as the quarter draws near, it catches stock et with the 23/40 and then checks out as the run gets longer.
