hands down get a f7 100 times better then a zr 800 i have a friend that had a cross country zr800 and loved it to death, before that he had a zr600, when i got my 03 firecat sno pro i let him take it out. he was amazed and that was it for the 800 he sold it

There both good :div20: the F7 is fast and wickedly quick it's design comes from sno cross racing, the ZR is fast, can mash moguls, and carve a trail, it is a true cross country sled as it was born and bred for the I 500 cross country race.

ive got both, F7 is faster. My wife would rather ride the 800 its kind of an old tried and true, very predictable.

I gave the wife my 01 ZR 800 and she laughs everytime I try to ditch her except on the lake. You would be most happy with the F7 on the trails, but on the lake it doesnt matter :div20:

From 0-100 mph you will have a tough time finding anything quicker than a well tuned F-7. I have not had a ZR anything come close to my Sabercat in a 1000 ft yet, I am not saying there aren't some that can, just that I have raced a few with more mods than me and they don't come close. If you get an 03-04 F-7 get the 4 wheel rear axle for it,I think it makes it much more stable for jumping and turning. My sled would roll to the side on jumps before I added the 4 wheel kit. If you buy an 05 or newer just squeeze the throttle and have fun :div20:

Are you running a stock F7 motor?
You say you have "NEVER" been smoked by a ZR800. You must be running poorly tuned 8's or you have not run against enough of them. :dunno:
And you say you smoked a ZR900. In my opinion you race a 900 running on one cylinder or like the ZR800's a poorly tuned one.
You smoked something other than a ZR900 :share_doobie:

I have only ran against 1 zr900 and 1 zr800 and have smoked both of them badly. I think it would have to be a heavly modded zr8 to keep up with the f7.

well i understand your a little upset because i see you have a zr800. First off, no i was never ever beat on my 03 or my 05 f7 by a zr800 it never happend, my 05 is a little slower then my 03, but again a zr800 has never beaten me, and i ride every single weekend in northern maine where there are tons and tons of sleds and even more lakes to go across. As for the zr900 i can give you all my buddies names that were there that day and they can tell you the same thign, they even beat him on there revs. it was a 05 zr900 and the guy was pissed, there was also another kid there on a 04 f7 that had a few mods, and he was beating him as well, so dont come on here talking like i am lieing when i was the one that was there and the one that did it. IM nto trying to get into a pissing match here i am just stating the facts. you know as well as i do these f7's are fast as hell

I'm clutched and piped on my ZR800 and no stock F7 has "ever" smoked it :dunno: I have run a few F7's and yes they run out very good but no smokin. I also know there are many out there that look like F7's that are in fact F8's so......

ZR900's, that is another story. Ive had it handed to me once by a ZR900 but we see very few of them in our end of the woods. They pull pretty hard even when stock and only clutched.
Some run better than others......By the way, I also run a 136" track on my ZR8 :div20:

I should ad to this so we don't get off the subject......I have only ridden 1 F7 for a short distance and what I noticed most were 2 things. It handles great and you sit up much higher and take much more wind in the chest area. A totally different ride from the ZR's. Do I like the F7's,absolutely :div20: I think they are awesome :augen41: In fact I bought an F7 a few weeks ago with the BMP F8 kit in it for my wife. I sure hope it is to much sled for her :beerchug:

This thread should have been called "F6 vs. ZR800". The ZR800 were fast back in the day when there were no FireCats. But now days, the ZR800 is not that fast.

You can't be serious. How the hell can you even compare HP to HP :augen41: And don't give me that weight to HP thing. I ride with F6's.......Common!
This is getting stupid now :dunno:

What kind of speeds do the F6's do in say 1000'? Over 100? I don't think so. Most stock F7's can't do it either. Why do F7's go to an F8 kit. Same question should be asked of the F6.
