I have read several articles on this Apex being sled of the yr,class of it's own,etc. etc.My 06 Fcat is my first,so I curious to hear from guys who have spent some time riding them.Both sleds being stock how close will the performance be on trail/lake.Is the 10 hp diff. that big of a deal.?I jus' can't see the Apex being a quicker sled.

I would,nt underestimate them they have been flying on the grass this year.Of course they have just a few more cc's than the Firecats.As for how they will run with the average guy tuning them the jury is still out. :dunno:

I think in theory 700's should run with 700's and 1000's should run with 1000's

Yamaha has always managed to suprise us though, with their Viper 700 and their RX-1 1000...??? just some food for thought..

defiently don't count the 4 strokes out...I've seen an rx 1 without a turbo give stock 04's and 05's fits and left them guessing...Time will tell with the apex but it always comes down to :homework:

Whether,it's a choppy or smooth trail I really can't see how a bulky 4-stroke can be man-handled like u can with a F7.And taken this one-step further,Yamaha has entered their sled in the cross-country racing circuit.We all know the Yammi never did much in the snocross.So how is the 4-stock going to fare any better?

F7=130hp and 470 pounds

apex=150hp and 550 pounds

Apex is about 80 more pounds but has about 20 more hp.

F7 is actually 140 but anyways........

Depends on how long the race is. I think the Firecat will be the quicker sled, but the Apex will probably have longer legs.

Nope nice try tho...ALL the mags said that the F7 pushing 140hp is a little much,I have a mag said that it came in about 132hp. Plus its been on here most stock F7s come in abour 132hp.

The apex should win, just like the fusion and mach z should. They are all atleast 200cc's more than the f7. Yeah Yeah its a 4 stroke and there rated different. If its rated different then it should be in its own class. If those sleds cant beat the F7 or the F7 is close to them then the other brands are not up to par.

Nice try dip shit go to D&D's web site and look at thier stock 700 run on the dyno.. the 05's and 06's are putting out 140hp+ stock...

now

:gtyof:

Edit: are you sure the apex is 540.. Yami has been known to fudge the numbers a little.. like the Speedo calibration for one...

I know from past experiences my XC700 would eat up Rx1's. Trail or lake I jus' dread the day I get passed by a 4-stroke......
