looking for real top speeds on the f7. I have a f7 sp totally stock
and 100 to 103(best)mph is all i can get. This is on a snowpacked
river ungroomed. Just woundering where the 110-115speeds come
from or is mine just a pouch.

on the lake jumps to 105-110 then climbed to 115. glare ice with patchy snow and windy. could probably get a few more mph if conditions were perfect

The fastest I've ever seen on mine is 114 mph indicated on the digital. This was on Gogebic in da U.P.

Mr Z...If your Formula says 100, it is more like 90. I rode side by side with my buddy who has a REV 600 HO and we compared speedo readings with hand signals. He read between 7 and 10 mph higher than my F7 between 60-98MPH. At 98 (on my speedo) he read 107 (the highest he has ever seen). Anyhow-I saw 115 steady on my speedo today on smooth ice with 1" powder. That is the best I've done, I weigh 225 without gear, so I am pretty happy with that considering theoretical top speed is about 122 mph. (Mine is a standard)

the most ive seen on my speedo on my SNO PRO with deep track is 109 on a road with minimal snow..but i QUICKLY ran out of room...every time i have a 1 run on a lake is always in looser snow...not desirable for top speed runs..

Keep in mind..the speedos on these sleds a VERY ACCURATE unlike other brands and even last yearr and behond cats....
Mr Z ur 583 doing 100?? doubt it on real world.ur speedo may of said that..but highly unlikely..unless its not stock...on ice ..with pics and tail wind....

Up on lake gogebic...did a 3/4 mile speed run..my buddys ran 95.5 and 97.6 with there ski doo renegades..one geared one stock...and both of them said on the speedo..110 and 105...
Now with my sled...it said 100 MPH in same distance and it was really 97.3 ...so very small margin of error...this was according to the top speed recal on our gps we had with us each run...my F7 SP was bone stock

Im clutched for top end and 142 picks, and bored 40 over. And the F7 being more accurate has nothing to do with the quality of the speedo, all that means is your track is not spinning as much..nothing to do with the speedo

Not really , the new cat speedo is very accurate when studded but thats not always the case. Lots of my drag sleds years ago I left in the speedo while dialing it in. Way I was studded with 196 ice picks , no slippage 116 on speedo & 104 on gun Not so on new cat speedo

I have only seen 105 once ((elevation is 1850ft))...My speedo reads 97-100 all the time and my friends ZR 900 is not that much ahead of me top end.. My other friends ZR800 is so far behind he might as well not even be there.. By the way I beat the 900 for a long time and it takes him along time to real me in on average..

IVE RADARED A LOT OF F-7 WITH OUR STALKER PRO RADAR GUN AND THE DIGITAL SPEEDO ON THESE MACHINES IS 2 TO 3 MILES ON THE HIGH SIDE AND IVE DONE HUNDREDS OF RUNS ON THE LOCAL LAKE.THE FASTEST SPEED ON BARE ICE WAS 116 ON THE RADAR GUN IN 2000 FEET.MOST F-7 RUN 105-110AND THAT WILL ACCOUNT FOR THE 110-113ON THE SPEEDO.IVE SEEN THE STOCK ARTIC CAT SPEEDO BE AS MUCH AS 12 MPH OF AT TOP END THAT ARE FOUND ON THE ZR.SO THE FIRECAT SPEEDO IS MUCH MORE ACCORATE.

^_^ On lightly covered glare ice momentarily saw 116 mph on the digital, but when conditions are good I can usually top out between 110 and 112. Worst lake run 93 and best 116, just depends on the wind and snow.

104 mph on a stock F7 Snopro on a groomed trail on a lake bed. Yes these digital speedo's are more accurate then the old anolog. My 98 and 01 ZR's show 100+ on the speedo's and I know I'm not moving as fast as the F7. Must be an adrenaline thing with the manufacturer's on the analog's!
