I've got an Racepak Avenger #3 Gauge and EGT probes.
I'd like to set this up to read (PTO EGT, H2O temp, MAG EGT) for an "03F7SP.
Location: What is the Distance from the cylinder to Probe on the "Y" pipe??
What is the Best way to take a Good water temp Reading?
What are "Good/Safe" Low, Mid, WOT EGT #'s???

BTW: Does anyone have some "extra" Weld-on Base mount fittings?

Do a search... This has been a multiple topic for the past 2 years. I cannot remember the exact distance for the probe placement, but i do know that I got it from this site. As far as WOT egt.... Mine runs 800-1000 deg on trail (500-700 rpms) & 1200-1230 deg. WOT.

Unfortuneately I have my coolant probe hooked up at the return side (right) of the motor/ after the heat exchanger, which means that i get a round a bout estimate of coolant temp. But, I never had a prob with getting too hot. I estimate the temp is roughly arount 50-60 deg, hotter comming out of the engine.

You can get a connector for the coolant probe in Dennis Kirk's 2006 catalog. It is a straight steel tube with a circular bubble in the middle. You just tap the thread size into it & adapt the probe mount. Then just put in-line with the coolant hose somewhere....preferrably exiting the engine, not on the return side like mine. :div20:
