I think Cat maybe went a little overboard in sizing the rear heat exchanger on the F7. The thing takes forever to warm up. Letting it sit and idle just doesn''t do it either it needs to be under load for a good 10 minutes before it will go. We were radaring today and it picked up 4 mph in 1000'' after 3 or 4 passes to 104.4 versus an RX-1 at 101. Great sled. It makes me think that maybe the F7 at the Shootout was not near warm enough to run well.

No doubt about it. The pipe needs to be fully expanded and that means HOT. I noticed this on my F7 at the first grass drags back in October.
