OK ive been planningon buying an F7 for a while now, but i just found an F6 for a very good price and i was just wondering how it would compare to the F6

Top speed?
will it do the same as the F7 in powder??
are they just as snappy as the F7's?

Thanks

EDIT: did they make F6's in 03?? the guy says its 03 but arcticat.com coesnt show any F6's made that year :dunno:

Zert, I have a eb f6 and absolutly love it.
I have a few friends with the f7's, and the f6 will run with them easily up to 80mph then they slowly pull away. I haven't radared my sled but it has read on the speedo 110mph a few times,
as far a the feeling between the two the f6 and f7 are the same sled at anything below 60 mph.
this is just my opinion. I would have bought a f7 but the deal on the f6 was too good.
If you are buying new i think the extra money for the 7 is very cheap horsepower.
As far as powder my f6 is great for everything but starting off as it seems to trench quite easily if you don't feather the throttle.
hope this helps.

i have a f6 and i ride with 2 other f7s. I can keep up with them no problem at all. One is a 03 f7 snopro with studs and the other is an 04 std f7 with studs. Mines an 05 f6 std w/o studs. When theres 3 inches or less of powder i can usually stay side by side till like 70-80. Then the f7 will slightly pull away. If were in the powder then my friend with the snopro will obviously pull better off the line because of the 1.375 inch track. F6s have great throttle response. Its pretty much the quickest 600 out there. Will compete with most other manufacturers 800 till 80. bought my sled brand new and wanted the 600 over the 700 because the 600 will hit 100-110 and thats fast enough for me were i ride seeing how theyre are no lakes. I think you would be very happy with an f6. But for you coming off of a zr you will have to learn how to feather the throttle in the powder because the firecats like to trench when your riding slow in the powder. Good Luck

Yup, some call them an 03. I call mine an 03 since I got it in 03, but I believe they list it as an 04. problem is some parts and clutch kits for an 04 don't fit the EB model. It's a little confusing.

Anyway, The EB F6 is very, very fast. Faster than the normal f6's. I can run easily ith f7's and ran well with most 800's last year. You won't be disappointed.
