My friend and I have the exact same sleds and we raced and they were almost even...sometimes I was a bit faster sometimes he was. He got a black magic clutch kit with a 51degree helix and 50 weights(stock was 50.5) and we put it on and then raced and take off was still the same but in mid he pulled ahead...and kept going. There was a big difference with the Black magic.

nope F5 comes stock with a 51 degree cam yellow white drive spring 51.5 gram weights green driven spring

My F-5 has a 51 degree helix. What are the colors of the drive spring and driven spring in the kit? Any thought on using a 53/51 Driven helix?

I have put in a 55/50 helix and did nothing else, I ran away from a 600efi with some cluthing goodies on it, a F5 stock 51 helix and a Viper...now we all know if the Viper could get hooked up he'd have me, but it sure was nice right then

I dont know if a helix change will work for me with the way my 5 is set up. I found some hard pack and started from a dead stop and was spinning a long ways. Limiter strap sucked all the way up, transfer blocks on 3, spring blocks on 2 and 102 1.175 woodys. I weigh about 160lbs. Maybe trying blocks on 2 and a helix change. I hav'nt raced any bigger sleds but i think for a bit i've got something from them. hehehe Just a little 500. hehehe

I am going to clutch mine soon..I am getting a dalton helix and weights and going to change the springs. I want my sled to engage a little over 5000rpm
