Does anyone know the exact location cat wants the EGT sensors to be located in the firecat ? Cat used to put them in the performance manuals, but I couldn't find it in the 2003 manual.
I just got my PYRO 2001 guage and sensors and would like to get them in.
Thanks Flash and Flare.

4" from piston skirt. Or 100 mm for you canandian types. I pulled off the the AC sticker, lower left of the speedo, and put the gauge in.
REMEMBER, pyros are for establishing a baseline safe temp. Run it, get good wash/plug color and use that as your safe temp.

I have found mine is leanest @6000 r's (constant throttle) and see about 1250 ish.

Thank you , Thank you , Thank You ! I have been looking for this info for the last few days on line and have had no luck. Can I ask were you got your info from ? As for mounting location, well I relocated my "fuel" switch to under the hood were it belongs and Iam putting my PYRO 2001 in that location.
