Dynamix is here on the VR1! What do you guys think? Technology advancements are a good thing. Will Dynamix deliver?

I had my Tcat in for some service, dealer had a copper colored VR1 850na with the Dyna mixer system. The msrp was just north of $20k usd. What would be a good deal on this young leftover?
I have never considered a Polaris in my 60yrs, but my experience with ATAC on my cat made me a believer in electronic adjustable Fox shox, the Dyna mixer should be next level. What is the warranty on new polari?

It's not that scary, electronic adjustable shocks have been around for decades, yes it may be a failure point, but hydraulic side is the same as any other Fox Shox and no real new tech on the electronics. Remember how scary efi was? Not a big deal for most people that aren't overly skeptical about everything new.

I wish I could say that after spending tons of time on re valves springs cross country shocks link kits and tinkering since the 19 Pro-CC came out my regular shock XCR is the best set up I ever had out of one of these, bought the Dynamix and straight from the box it’s right there with it in Extreme mode but wait I have 2 softer modes for when I want it also those modes effect the steering and I can use them to my advantage for different snow conditions no more let me stop and tweak the clickers or living with a push or to much bite for the day, like 3 sleds in one. I really didn’t expect it to be no where near this good straight stock.

Does the Dynamix allow you to set different settings from front ski shocks and reard skid shocks? I had the Doo smartshocks on my last sled and wasn't that impressed, in part because of the inability to set different settings. I like a softer ride on the skid, but then that would mean the front shocks would allow for too much body roll in the corners.

You don't need to on this sled. The system adjusts all 4 shocks 200 times per second. It controls pitch, roll and yaw. It control body roll very well. The only changes I've made so far was to add 2 turns of preload to the IFS and took 1 turn out of the FTS. I might try Munson's progressive springs at some point.

We have around 1400 miles on our new Dynamix. Still performing flawlessly. Everyone that tries it, is impressed. If you happen to be in Pittsburg, NH this season, look me up and I'll let you try it. We are up every weekend. You can't miss Brooke's Dynamix!
I now have a 2025 XCR-9R. As impressive as this sled is, it still isn't as good as the Dynamix. Try them back to back and you'll agree.

This is a tuff one for me.. I don’t like to see any more complexity and tech go into anything theses days because of cost and support dealing with trouble shooting it when it goes south! Then the cost of replacing anything needed! But this is one thing I would say yes to I guess! Just where does it end? I was just spending time talking to a friend who is well into his yrs with engineering with a major automotive manufacturer and discussing some technology coming for AWD and it’s pretty sick what it’s capable of doing but it will cost and effect most everything else going on with the vehicle… and one more computer will be need on board to accomplish it.. just insane and getting out of control actually!!

I, for one, do not need it. Too much complexity. Never ride that extreme. Neither do most. But, many will demand it regardless. Same thing is true in autos. We got along just fine before ABS, automatic tire pressure monitoring, 10 speed transmissions, airbags, etc, etc. Big expense to maintain all this. Huge added costs in an accident. These are examples of "Anxiety Hysteria".
I.E., Do something, even if wrong.

Having ridden the Dynamix and a very well setup XCR with Wenzlaff valving and Munson progressive springs back to back a good 20-25 miles each, the springs were the lacking point of the ride, to me. My Bud put a set of the progressive springs on the Dynamix and it cleaned it right up. Very impressive setup.

This is from my buddy who has both after this weekends testing, he went to put the progressive FTS spring on his Dynamix:

I went to do it but apparently the I.D. on the spacer and crossover for Walker Evans are smaller then Fox shocks. Wenzlaff is getting me the correct stuff. I took it apart and put it back together. Good practice I guess. As you know the front was a huge upgrade. It handles on the trails awesome but you have to watch out for those stingers that the xcr laughs at.

Where is the computer board that runs the shocks? Separate, outside of the ECU?
The Inertial Management Unit (IMU) is located under the hood. The sensors are all contained in the IMU box. The 4 shocks have valving that is electrically adjusted, by signals from the IMU.

Did your Bud put progressive springs on the IFS?

Is your XCR suspension stock?

I have been extremely pleased with how the updates on my XCR work. Though I haven't had a chance to ride a Dynamix, I'm intrigued. My main interest in having it would be its cornering capibilities in varying conditions.

I have about 1,500 miles on my Dynamix. I have added XHD torsion springs and have not touched anything else.

Last Friday I left the Dynamix in trailer so I could put some miles on my Assault. And I love the Assault. But The trails we rode had me cursing myself for such a stupid choice. Every ride I think is the Dynamix really that good. Well Sunday we ended up on the same trails as Fridays ride except 2 more days of traffic beating on them. The Dynamix was that good and more.

I love getting off my sled thinking trails were pretty beat up but not that bad and then hearing everyone else complain about getting the snot beat out of them!

Everyone that has ridden my Dynamix says the same thing! It’s the real deal!
