They motors are designed to run on 87. Unless you do engine mods, pipes, reeds, etc. Just run 87. Don't waste your money on more octane. In all likely hood more octane will make it slower

im on a poo 800 classic, has a different setting for reg and premium, goes about 10mph faster when set to premium
