The ACT drive system may be slightly more efficient. mayby 2 or 3% currently. It's main advantage initially for us was the weight savings

I wonder how this is going to affect the balance of the sled.AC sleds have always been left front heavy on fourpoint scales,by removing more weight from the right side,ie- no chaincase, how will this effect the sled, also that brake rotor looks awefully heavy compared to traditional rotors, certainly was no weight loss in the brake department <_<

That brake may look heavy, but it is also very small. The point is the sleds with this system will be over 11 lbs lighter than with the chaincase. I would not worry about the balance thing. Cat's are the most ballanced sleds when it comes to air time anyway!
