Pulled the Diamond drive on the F5 today - That went very smooth - Simple and nice setup

Split the case and the oil is dark a little milky but not as bad as i expected - Bearings look perfect - Not much oil came out but i guess three ounces doesnt look like much

Anyways i saw the big C - Clip and removed small roller gear assembly
Do the spline shafts just come out ? Is there some small c - clips holding them in - The splined shafts dont want to come out by seals - Also what to expect for speed sensor - Dont know whats involved there and has worked perfect since day one - Dont want to screw anything up when splined shaft is removed

The seal on the inner spline shaft by drivers looks a little wet on the outside - The seal by the secondary clutch looked perfect - I know black diamond sells the oil and seal kit - Or i could just take the assembly to my dealer and have them replace seals and oil under warranty - Either way i havnt talked to my dealer yet

Anyways what are you guys doing - Sled has about 2,700 miles on it - Thanx Scott :cn:

on the 05's they used a single lip seal on the driver. i know that cat has since made some changes and are using two lip seals on the driver to keep moisture out and the oil in. the seals are on back order for my sled (M7) i dont know if there is any difference. the speedo pickup is in a dry well it does not go into the drive, there are magnets on the back of the final drive that the sensor picks up through the casting. its a very simple set up everything should slide out.

I would change the seals and oil, the output shaft is just in a bearing with no clips holding it, you can tap it out with a hammer, or press, same with the input shaft. Go to a bearing place, and get high quality seals to replace the cheap ones that came in it (probabaly cheaper too)
