The Meat Man
Sure can but it will still stay in the MFL just marked closed you have have an option that way you still get the tax cut just not as big. Ether way you will be way ahead of the ball game. I was more of a fan of the old Forrest crop Management program but it ended in 1976 it was a fifty year program. So if you put land in the old FCMP in 1975 your land your program would have ended in 2015. The old FCMP we where paying $0.10 an acre but the time the 70's hit as you put your land in the programs I think it went to $0.25 an acre.take the property out of M.U.F., kick the tree huggers off and pay the tax difference. then show em who's boss.
Little history for you, during the depression in Langlade County to save your land and pay you're taxes you would log off your land well when the logging ran out and you had no money to pay you turned over your land to the county. Now you see why 70% of the county is owned by Langlade county and this took place all over the state of Wis. 1952ish the feds started the Forrest crop Management program to manage our privet forest lands and to prevent this big turn over of land to the county's of privet forest land.
