I am looking at buying an 04 F6, which was converted to an F8 with the D&D kit. The sled has 710 miles. It has a speedwerx pipe and some other things. I have a buddy who rides an SRX with an 800 big bore kit in it. The kit cost approx. $4000 and it is claimed to have 170-180 hp, and he claims it is a completely different sled with the mod. Will the D&D F8 stand up to it, or will he send me packin? I don't want the sled if I'm gonna get smoked. I don't know how many SRX big bores are out there. I know there's a lot of guys who run or have run against the D&D F8, and I'd really appreciate your input.

I ran a f-8 big bore last year and can say with out a doubt i never got beat by a srx just remember power to weight ratio your sled is a better chassis design and a lot lighter then that triple.. you should be able to smoke em as long as your f-8 is a descent running one... good luck.

A D&D F8 should stand up to pretty much anything :div20: but id put a D&D manifold and Monster single on it for sure. :beerchug:

Given equal weight riders, and best setup for both, it may be a close race if you run the single pipe (you should still have the edge, though). If you run the monster twins, he won't have a chance.

3 in a row make it go!! I wouldn't get to confident in a drag race against a big bore triple thats properly dialed in. It should be a good race I imagine.

LOL..... Trust your feelings Luke! You will eat him up! I raced a well clutched SRX with a Hauk 800 kit in it when my sled was an F7. Let me tell ya, by the time I beat him 3 or 4 times..... he was tellin me he was goin Cat. But, if you pull up against an RX1 turbo.....back off! You won't have a chance.

I have read some of these other posts about Yamaha SRX's & am sittin here laughing. :smilielol: I have never seen a really fast SRX! I cant imagine where all these fast ones are? I go to alot of lakes to race & never....ever see any SRX, or other Yamaha winning anything. Where are all you guys at? Do they have Arctic Cat where you live?.... must not.....you wouldn't be sayin Yamaha's are really fast. (except of course the RX1 turbo).

.... One more question.... We ARE talkin about snowmobiles....right? :smilielol:

I've had 2 buddies that had suped-up SRX's & they were not REAL fast. They could keep up pretty good, but once I put the F8 kit on....it was no comparison. Then I put an F9 in....."Light's Out!" :boxing:
