Well... I have an 06 X-Fire Standard - it was cheap. I initially wanted to put Fox floats and basically make it a SnoPro right off the bat, however I'm thinkin that over.... I'm about 240 lbs and ride hard. I hit just about ever "jump" I can... are the floats the way to go?

I was talking with a friend who races Polaris, he is sponsored by Ryde FX and ran the Air 2.0 for ONE race, then switched back to Walker Evans - he said the airs faded so bad... and he also said he didn't really know if he had them set-up right. Do the floats have a problem with fading? I was thinking I kind of liked my Fox Zero Pro shocks... would it be dumb of me to get a set of them? I need the rear shock/spring more than front, but will probably do all of them, I bottom my rear suspension out a few times every ride...

Just lookin for some opinions...

There are several options if you wanna go with floats. You can get floats for the rear. Or an all new rear skid from ex ryde if you got the money. Or check out nextech they offer a rear skid change to floats. They also sell a float resevoir you can put onto stock floats that helps with fading. I'm a big guy too and I have a sno pro and love it. I may look into a rear skid conversion to floats but I guess I'll wait and see if my rear skid breaks before I do. Its a pricey proposition. Hope this helps.

If you stick with the std rear shocks, get them revalved to your weight and riding style, I would imagine you want them as stiff as you can get and btw replace the 130lb center shock to a heaviery one....anything over 200 will be way better then what you got.

the difference between the std and sp is night and day, I got both, I perfer the sp and my wife perfers the std...you can tell how we ride, she is layed back and just like to curize and me on the other hand, I am a wild man.....at high speeds on a rough trail the sp is way more stable then the std.

I have a brand new EZ Ryde for sale if interested. PM me if you are. I just love the ride of this susp.[/b]

Thanks for everyone's input, it is very helpful. Is this EZ Ryde really worth what it's priced at? Does it include the Fox Floats - for the price, I sure as hell hope so.

What are you asking for yours fastsleddr

I also have an 06 std that I bottom out on a regular basis. I just pulled my shocks out, and plan to revalve and rebuild as soon as I get my parts order friday. Plan to revalve close to sno pro stiffness. figured I'd try that before I buy all new shocks.[/b]
yeah... i thought about this briefly, looked into Fett Bros and they wanted over half of what the floats would cost me just to rebuild/valve mine...

i converted my (standard) crossfire to a SnoPro and let me tell you that the Fox rear shocks are awesome.
i put the fronts on late last year, and the rears on first thing this fall.
with the fronts alone is a big difference, both front and rears together is a whole different ride altogether.
i got a killer deal last year on a standard model, so i went with it. I like the black tunnel myself.
But will never but a non-snopro edition sled again for myself.

I read somewhere that the new M sled Fox Float suspension will bolt right in other than a couple of new rear brackets.

Do a search of the HCS and Arcticchat classified. i seen a few full snopro skids for sale. used with low miles..
