Has anybody tried relocating the coil from the front of the airbox to make re-installation a bit easier? You guys weren't joking about it being a pain in the arse to get the box back in.. Does the SLP big air kit make it any easier? I figure just having the top of the airbox open would allow me to stick my arm down and make sure the boots on on the carbs okay. Relocating the coil would probably give you a bit more room to wiggle the box around. Anybody tried it?

The SLP airhorn kit does help exactly the way you say. I relocated my coil to the side of the airbox in front of the CDI. I made a bracket that bolts behind the cdi, and the coil attachs to that. I used a old wiring harness with the matching plugs to make a harness extension for the coil.

I knew someone must have tried it.. I'll start with the SLP intake and see if I can get the box back in a bit easier. Noticed the 07 's moved the coolant input to the head to the side.
