As far as skis go I am planning on Powder Pros before snow flies. They are supposedly more aggressive in the powder but more darty on the trails. I need all the bite I can get on powder sine I'm a 159". I've had the Simmons on another sled and I felt they pushed a lot in the deep snow. Nice on the trail though.
Hard to say really, the Simmons are a good all around ski and you could probably get away with them in the powder since you are only a 144".
