I hear that clutches begin to go at about 5000 miles?? Is this true? Also... What can I do to maintain my clutch, and when will I know when its about to blow? If I put in a clutch kit will it extend the life of my clutch. One more thing... If I add twin pipes, and a mbrp silencer, will I need to get a clutch kit because of the horsepower increase???

I don`t buy into the 5000 mile rule,my has 5500 miles
serviced regular still like new,it engages at 5700 rpm
all the time.I trail with this set up ,pins, rolls, and bushings
in the polaris weights every 800 miles. It has taken this abuse
for three seasons. One set of rollers, two sets of pins that it(clutch
spring from D.D. every 1200 miles, just to be safe.
Just my .02 cents.......
