04F7 updated to 8.5" primary with Poo 065 belt. Need clutching ideas. Sled runs fairly well with stock setup but seems soft on the bottom end and belt is running hotter than I like after W.O. pull. Alignment is good. PM here please,Peace,beeler
The alignment will not be good. The softer belt will need more off set to run right. Did you set your alignment with a bar or free float? How much belt to sheave do you have. IF it is .060 or more the softer belt will just be crushing off the line.
Hmm I am not sure how soft the belt is off hand. Watch for some grooving in your primary sheave from the Kevlar cords. IF it is a hard belt and your belt to sheave is this tight then your low end is the belt slipping. Very low sheave area for hardness of the belt. Watch for the grooving.
