Can you simply add two extra studs to the non-widowed lug area? I didn't do my studs the first time, my dealer did. I want to do it this time. If I did this how many would I add?

Depending on how your original pattern was laid out will determine how effective the extra studs will be IMO. The key is to maximize the no.# of scratch lines.
So if I added one per lug area, then it give me three in each space. Or would it be better to add two to each non window. that would give me 138. I just want more bite for take offs. I am also looking to lower my gear. That is why i am thinking of doin it. I spin as it is.
thanks
right I agree with that statement. More scratch lines. I assume you look down your track and see how many of them are there before the pattern starts over again?
That's not bad, I think I have 20 or 22. If you put the studs in the closed windows and stagger them you should gain another 4 lines.
