It's easy you don't have to pull the chain case just unbolt the bottom gear. Than unbolt the gold plate on the left side and pull the shaft out.

You dont have to remove the chain case on any prox or edge sled as long as it has 3 or less drivers ! If it has 4 drivers like some 800 sleds you need to unbolt the case and remove it. Just remove the speedo drive cover push it into the PTO side of the tunnel and it will clear the chain case and drop out. Theres no need to remove the bearing from the PTO side it will go right threw the hole. Chances are you will need a new gasket on the speedo drive and I would replace at a min the lower chain case seal if not both ! While its apart check to see if all the bearing turn smooth , its not unusal to have bad bearings on the drive even with low mileage!
