So are you supposed to ask the owner to go over their books to see what percentage of their gross sales come from glass vs bottles?

Not a glass vs bottle issue but alcohol vs food

This was a discussion during class and it comes down to use your best judgement. If the place is call "Bar and Grill" leave your gun locked in the vehicle, if it's called "Grill and bar" should be okay but it's your responsibility to know.

No guns for Badger when out riding its just not my deal. Hell, I don't like carrying a phone I guess I am old school when men would knock the shit out each other and go have a drink. FYI The wildlife is not a fan of the Badger. :)

or maybe this is what will make you salivate. pretty cool guns though i must say
geeezus christ, you are exactly what's wrong with my country. Don't you have a liberal to hug? Wish we had the second amendment. And that seriously is not a threat, as I read it back to myself.
Just a statement from someone who grew up in a gun/hunting family and era. No I don't hunt, yes I have, just wasn't my thing, respect guns, like guns, wish we had the second amendment, like going fast more than hunting, so I sled and ride motorcycles instead. Guns don't kill people, people kill people and it doesn't matter if you remove all the guns in the world, someone will kill you with their shoelace.

Huh never seen a cat ride a snowsled much less a bear, and I’ve never heard of a cat refereed to as a badger *, pretty viscous looking, almost like you might claw and lick one to death

And guns just make it way easier to kill people. Look at how easy it is to obtain in the US ,and then check oot the stats in regards to gun violence, Canada vs US..
With regards to carrying while ride ...just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Fuckin seriously. Where do you guys ride that require a hand gun? Chicago? Up north here ,we have as much or more wildlife and we are fine...

In the fall, always have rifle and/or shotgun in the SXS, but i'm looking for some tasty critters to put on the dinner table.

I ride in the US and I could care less if guys carry while riding there, just don't shoot me. Never seen anyone carry but then again probably been beside a few guys that were packin' and just didn't know it.

Just out of curiosity, besides "because you can", why carry while riding? I'm not talking carrying while on the trap line, back country somewhere in the boonies, riding your sleds around the hoods in Chicago, but the average guys riding the trails? I get that some guys carry all the time, any time of the year and it's probably just second nature to some, but have any of you guys that carry while riding ever had to take it out of the holster for one reason or another?

Nvr once. Not specific to snowmobiles. But me and buddy were in truck years ago when guy jumped up on truck and tried to rob him. Look on that fools face was priceless when my buddy pulled that 40 cal from under the center console. Problem solved would be thief tucked tail and ran for the hood.

IMO, the US is more gun oriented than many other countries because we have had to defend many of these countries when they were attacked by evildoers like Hitler, Mussolini, etc. Remember the term "Arsenal of Democracy"? Face it, we were once fed up with the never ending European wars and refused to enter WWII until the Japs forced our hand. This almost resulted in the loss of Democracy for the World. Lesson learned.

We've also become the weathiest country in the world.
This has generated/attracted lots more bad guys than other countries.
Many countries we've had to defend are Socialist leaning. This includes Canada, England, Mexico, and many others. They heavily regulate their citizens and apparently, these citizens have come to rely on "big brother" rather than themselves for all manner of things including healthcare, minimum wage levels, unions, etc. I lived in Canada for several years and graduated from High School there. My first wife came from Canada. I hear it all the time how Canadians are regulated and taxed to the hilt. They bitch about it all the time, yet can't seem to change it. This is why Canadians are dealing with high costs for nearly everything and lower living standards. The government doesn't dare allow citizens to have too many guns as they might revolt. BTW, this leads to illegal black marketing like in Russia, Cuba, China, Korea, Mexico, etc. We don't have much of that.
In this country, we are much more self-reliant and probably always will be.
Just be happy that you live near the best defender of Liberty in the entire World.:bc:

Oldie but goodie cliche:

A. Guns have only two enemies: Rust and Politicians. Rust can be prevented, Politicians cannot.
Sounds like the late great col. Jeff Cooper?

another favorite of mine is R.Heinlein :
"An armed society is a polite society"

First of all, stats only mean what the statistic collector wants to convey. With liberals wanting to remove all the guns so you are defenseless against a government enforced police state, did you think that you would find anything different? Most gun stats do not take into account many variables. Our country has 30 million people spread across a much larger area than the 300 million people in america. You put people on top of each other and they are going to get angry and do things. More population, more crime, more gangs, more, more and more. It works exponentially. I know, what about China? Well in a communist regime, how about looking into how many people are killed by the government? Oh yeah, they won't tell you that kind of information. Ever notice how Canada's violent crime is on the rise. People are the problem, not guns. People are shitty, and with the fall from family and Christianity and such, where do you think we are headed? Up the population to the numbers of the states and I bet exponentially the gun violence will increase beyond the US of A. Educate people on guns and you have more respect for what they can do. Or make movies showing crazy, impossible gun fights, where the hero always walks away uninjured and you have people thinking they are hero's.

Just for the record, I don't necessarily want to carry when riding, although if I went north into god's country, where it's you and you alone, then yeah I'd want to carry. I realize this thread is about carry while riding. It just brings up many other conversations about guns and control, of both the guns and the sheeple.
