I have always wondered if a 600 to 800 swap can be done easily? Are the crank cases the same? I know they have the same stroke but what else is different? How about pipes are they different?

Is the 1000 bottom end the same as a the other two?
No....the 1000 was a Suzuki motor
The Ctecs are Cat motors.

Suzuki is Suzuki. Not ctec anything. And per Krom, here’s a 600 ctec gasket over a 800 gasket, to verify as posted earlier that the case tops are not the same (bolt holes on left side)

Thought the Suzuki was considered ctec1 and not ctec2.
Ctech 1 is the original 600 cat built. They have change the ctech a few times over the last 8 years.
"Ctec" was the term Cat started using when they started claiming "Clean Technology" for their motors.... Ctec2 is the 2 strokes .... starting with the 600s in 2014 and then the 800s in 2018. Ctec4 is the 4 strokes and I believe Cat has used the Ctec4 on all the different 4 strokes since the term started being used.

Because it never did. In 2014-2017 when Cat was still using the Zuke 8HO, only the Cat 600 had the Ctec2 notation. The 4 strokes of those years had the Ctec4 on them. When Cat released their 800 for 2018 model year, it got the Ctec2 notation.
