Hmm priced some things out that I want to look at and possibly buy at the show. Dennis kirk price first and then how much I think I can buy them for. D/K is for Dennis Kirk and S/P is estimated show price. Input what you're looking for as well, I keep having this nagging feeling that I'm forgeting something I was going to get. Especially when the woman hid my first list

Z1R Matte helmet D/K $129 S/P $90
Goggles (scott or other quick strap) D/K $50 S/P $35-40
Gloves (HMK or Arctiva) D/K $35 S/P $20
Riding Jersey D/K $34 S/P $25
Boots (HMK HM 2 or Altimate Escape 2) D/K $123-142 S/P $85-100
Backpack (this is iffy, HMK or other) D/K $67 S/P $35-45
C&A Pro ski's Race + 8 inch carbide D/K $314+60 S/P $200+25
Studboy studs (not sure which type 144) est D/K $284 S/P $144
Backers and nuts D/K $90 S/P $45
2" risers - most likely powermadds D/K $60 S/P $35

Totals: D/K $1261 S/P $769

I'd like a windshield as well but I think I'm going to have to wait on aftermarket or buying one of the yammie ones. Same with handguards I'm going to wait.
Bender Exhaust. Definately going to get it but will probably put it in my sled deal. Like I said I won't spend that much those are just some things I'm looking at and would like to get. I'll probably end up in the $500 or so range. Comments, suggestions, prices off?

i see you plan on supporting your local dealer. give them a shot maybe they will come close to your discount pricing. if way out of whack then do what is right for you.
as for the bar riser i would use a rox type adjustable unit. they can be bought for around $80. you will have to reroute the throttle cable with a 2" riser, cable will be way to tight in stock position. i have personal experience in this area.

Trust me I don't mind throwing my dealer stuff but a lot of the stuff you can get at the shows are overstock or leftovers from last year and you can get them for lower than your dealer. I'm certainly not going to buy studs from him and then stud it myself. Also he doesn't carry HMK or Arctiva so I'd basically just be catologue ordering from him.

I'm aware of the routing on the bars. Thanks for mentioning it though. I have 05 mountain cables I can run if need be for those that may be a little too tight for comfort.

I know you're a dealer and dealers tend to hate those shows because theres a lot of assesories that they lose out on. I do stay with my dealer if it means a couple hundred bucks in sled sale price and I've bought a lot from them. The bender will come from them and I'll have them put it on so I don't have to mess with it.

the majority of the time we have been price competitve with shows for our customers. dennis kirk is just a reprint of the parts unlimited catalog. i have there catalog and they have not been very price competitve.

So will I ST98.  Heading up friday night.

Take 81N right into Syracuse and kind of stay to the right as your getting into the city.  I think the exit you want is 18 and its for Adams/Harrison.  It might even say OnCenter on it.  Go another block and take a left under 81 at the light.  You will see parking on your left after a block or 2 and the building will be on your left.  Sometimes they make you go past it too park.

Very easy to get in and out of.

Thanks. It looks like I 'm going up on Saturday. About a 2.5 hour drive.

Now these wouldn't be bogus directions due to past disagreements? :smilielol:

Looks like we are not going up afterall.  My brother was looking for a track but can probably get a better deal down here.  I called EGT yesterday and they said they wouldn't be up there.  That left me off the hook.

No bogus directions.  If I wanted to do that, I'd send you down a one way street with a sticker on your car that said you were carrying diamonds and gold.  :lol2:

Careful on 81, the fuzz is everywhere.  :div20:

We ended up going last night. That place was packed. Triton got me for 8600.00. Thanks for the directions.:div20:

How far do you have to go to pick it up?

My wallet didn't take that big of a hit this year.  Called my nephew and had him pick me up some sled dollies.  If I went, I'd be buying stuff that I didn't need.

Whitney Point. About 90 miles or so. New sled and trailer this year. I sold my two place enclosed and needed to get moving on a bigger trailer. The wife was all for it. Probably because I have been storing the sleds in the shed. :div20:
