There is going to be a bulletin going to the dealers in the next couple of days, and it hasn't been totally written yet, but here is the current thinking:

You have to elevate the front of the sled 41" off the ground, measured at the front bumper to get the air out. This is high enough to be very difficult. The recommended way is to use a tilt-bed trailer:

Fill the gas tank to at least half full.

Warm the sled up for 4 minutes, or long enough to open the thermostat. The rear cooler will start to warm at this point.

Drive the sled onto the trailer so the the sled is just onto the bed. Keep it tilted.

With the sled running, tilt the sled over onto the PTO side (clutch side) and rev to 3000rpm. Hold it like this for a few minutes and then let the sled down and check/add coolant. If lower do it again. It may take a number of times like this to get all the air out.

This is important for all of us to do, as it is thought that most Firecats have some air in the system. The air can stay in the back for many miles before a rough trail sends a bubble to the head.

ALSO- It is thought that any sled that had the coolant tank serviced, either by the owner OR a dealer, is LIKELY to have additional air in the system! BLEED IT and be safe
