I was out with a pal today who has a Formula III 700. We were cruising across a lake about 85 mph and his machine died. Pulled the plugs and 2 were chocolate brown, one on clutch side was kinda gray(light but not white). Put a new plug in and started first pull. No signs of seizure. Ran about 5 minutes then stopped and checked the plugs, all looked fine. Repeated this 3 more times, no problems, plugs all look fine, sounds fine, runs fine. Going to check compression tomorrow. Any ideas on what could have happened???

The machine has been sitting in his garage since about end of December 2001. Gas was drained out, new gas put in, gas line antifreeze added but carbs were not cleaned. Also it was about -25 C today. Any ideas?
