Hey everyone I was wondering if bulk head damage affects the structural integrity of the sled, because I just picked up a 2008 skidoo summit 800 the dude hit a stump and bent the bulkhead but afterwards he went over everything and bent everything back together

Pretty much anytime something is bent and then bent back into shape it’s not as strong as it was to begin with. This is super common on doo sleds. (Not a bash) imo they Are to weak in some areas. Again just an opinion but I’d look into where it was bent and see if a company like grip and rip has a reenforcement bracket for that area. In this neck of the woods they are commonly used with good results there maybe other brands but that’s the one most used Adeline here . Some doo riders install grip and rip kits before the sleds ever left the dealer.

Also look to see if the tunnel is twisted right or left from the bulkhead to the rear bumper not sideways but twisted. One corner being lower than the other.
