Has anyone noticed how hard you have to pull the brake lever to make the lights go on?When just feathering the brake the light doesnt work on mine, you have to lock it up to activate the brake light.I wonder if the switch can be adjusted.

cat,i have an f5. i have gone thrue 3 bulbs in tailight. and yes you have to realy crank on the lever to activate brake light. dealer thinks it might be a short in it.i put a long life bulb in a week ago,and for some reason i haven't had that one burn out on me.
me and john were talking about this on saturday ,lol. im wondering if you can move the switch or something?
This thing has brakes???????
mine is the same way, have to give alot of brakes to get the light to come on, any ideas to make it more sensative
Never noticed, always looking the other way.
it wont come on unless you lock up the track and then some.
lol...I was telling Dana this was built in by CAT so no one would be able to see how much you need to use the breaks going into corners after having the sled at WOT for too long. :D

It is Dangerous though b/c no one behind you will have a warning unless you hammer the breaks like Dana Said.
once the pads wear in a little , iwonder if this will change
i noticed stopped at night on the trail side, i always flash my break lights at the sleds coming up on me when i'm stopped.
got to thinking when i'm riding just feathering the brake, guys behind have no idea i;m breaking unless i'm really locking it up
The older Wilwood brakes had a switch adjustment. You could unplug and loosen or tighten the swith to adjust. My F7 has been fine and I have not looked at it so I am not sure it is the same.

They are not activated the same on the Firecats as they have been on the ZR's.

This brake light thing has been a problem with Cats since they started using the Wilwood brake. Mine for some reason on my F7 is actually fine and comes on with very little pressure.
well jay i guess you'll have to be the leader!!

You know, it certainly seems that way!!! LOL!! Truth is, I ride with my family. The windshield I did all myself. Went to go through and open water bar and hit something that made the sled stop instantly, and me go over the handebars! Broke the windshield with my arm.

And its my own Bro that A-holed me b/c he was looking behind him instead of when he was going!! I think I'm going to buy him some mirrors!!!! LMAO!!!!

Goddamn shit like this hasn't happened to me in over 15 years! I hope its over with now.
