After blowing two primary clutches in under 400 miles, it seems to be holding together now after a gearing change to 20/39, a stiffer spring and diffrent weights. I went to Turnigan Pass today, unfortunatly it was 40 degrees and raining in Alaska in January. Though I still got in some good riding and the clutch never got too hot. There is still about 15 ft of snow at the top of the mountian.
Heard one horror story here on the east coast about an F7 clutch coming undone and taking out the cowl and puncturing the fuel tank......any reasons for the clutch failure?
Just some 10-64 weights and a Cutlers gold white spring. Did you notice what rpm you were pulling on top? Mine revved to 8300 in the powder with the pipe and can. Gonna try some 10-66's next weekend.
I think we are going to try to go on Sunday. Sadly don't know where since it's been so warm today.
