i blew a belt cookin acrossed the lake today at about 95 ish, should i throw in the shim that i removed when i put on the new belt? or what ive never blown a belt on a sled before and this only has 1700 miles. My last sled had about 6000 with the same belt that came on it. thanks

Shim did not cause belt to blow . Depending upon length of belt & the way it sets in secondary will tell u if u want shim in or not . speed with that many miles is probley what caused belt to break Prolonged speed with heat build up can cause a new belt to go
