howdy....the sled i just got has less than a half of a tank of Klotz, and i have 4.5 gallons of Amsoil on the way. I don't intend on mixing them, so what is a good (clean) way of draining the oil tank?? Any suggestions??

Thanks for your help!

I'd run the Klotz down till theres about a quart left and add the Amsoil also....otherwise you could try something like what they use for transfering fuel...the hose and primer bulb that connects between an outbord motor and fuel tank....it works great for pumping coolant out....probably work ok if the oil is warm enough.

fill it and forget it...... NEVER heard of a problem with mixing 2 stroke oils.... your deal may tell you not to do it, stick with our oil...... thats like saying only burn shell gas in our sled the rest will not run right! I run amsoil intersepter 99% of the time dont know what was in the sled when I got it , once in blue moon I have had to add oil at the local gas station because I forgot to fill up the oil tank.... I just run what ever they have to get me back to my trailer.......

The idea of not mixing oils is old and no longer an issue. When the first synthetics came out they would 'sometimes at certain temps and ratio's' gel. That was in the 70's I believe and not an issue now. Klotz and Amsoil are both great oils and will not give you any trouble if you mix. So I agree with others filler up and LET IT SNOW.

HECK NO!
Nuff of that bashing stuff goes on.
You should be able to mix with no problems as many have said here.

If you find something that works for you, then stick with it. And if something isn't working, then don't be afraid to try something new....like oil.
